are the bogies just made of ply? Any kind of reinforcing around the axles/pivots?

A bit more progress on the engines, wasn't happy with my first attempt. I think these will look better. Fans are 4200Kv 55mm. Hope to have a good day on it tomorrow. Maybe even put some video up of the build so far.

Hi Keith, that looks superb....you are moving ahead well....the vid is cool also!...you're beating me!..LOL
Today i finally had time to remove the air retracts, that wouldnt lift the quad bogies....and...Thanks to Matt (MBRJ) he has supplied me t=som DSR retracts to test...
Well they are now in the VC....and much better than before...
The only update i had to do to them was to drill 2 extra holes for grub screws so that the boggies dont twist....
but they are superb...

Continueing on with the VC-10
Nose block, shaped up (scratch built)
Tail now complete.
Engines dropped in, flaps sorted (one side anyway)

Having already seen Mike's, I'm a little excited to know there's more than one out there!
Is there any chance one could make it to Old Warden for the ?24/25 July scale meet?
I've got a Eurofighter, B52 and Vulcan to show and a Tutor to build, but more of Mikes models will help with the flag-waving...
Nothing's unbreakable until I've tested it!!

Mike's is much further along than mine. I haven't even started the wing yet. Old Warden is a bit of a trek for me living up near Rotherham. Although I did live in Biggleswade many years ago, just on the otherside of the A1.

ironically i found another EDF lurking today so i have a full set!...a compliment of 4
