were both rivet counters......lol.....sad i know...but small errors can ruin a great model.
Chris is superb, but i saw it also, and he has made some (IMHO) compromises, still a very cool VC, the building style again IMHO is not taking into account all the newer ways of light assembly, having said that i KNOW that his model will fly superbly, that knows what he is doing.
Just be good to bring some of the newer ideas to teh fore..

I would have thought it would fly ok with two motors, but 4!! Should climb out just like the fullsize. Can't wait to see video of it flying.

4..yeah prob a bit of over kill, but was considering having the outer 2 switchable.
just use the 4 for take off`s and rolling circles....erm....manoeuvers (That was a joke..i would never do somthing so rude witha VC)
but you can never have too much power..
Today being a typical Monday...didnt get much of anything done that wasnt excrutiatingly adminy booring...but did get the main legs made with thier tie bars and support....again..forgoto the damn cam....but hopefully tomorrow i can post it...but going for almost scale legs, not quite sure of the best actuating mech yet, even if they dont work, they shoudl look good...lol

Hi Mike
A bit more work on the VC10, tail section parts made now and wing seat.
I'm not happy with the engines just look like four tubes so doing a redesign to get more shape into them.
. Got some video of the Vulcan from this weekend, will post on Youtube and send you the link.

This is coming on nicely Keith...
Yoo're doing far better than me at the mo...waiting on retracts as the home made ones, the mech wont fit in the wings...

Hi Mike
VC10 going a bit slow at the moment,just wondering what size fans and motors you are going to use in yours. I'm thinking of 50-55mm with 4200Kv but it seems most place's are pretty low on stock. Prephaps that volcano in Iceland has something to do with it.

Finally had some parts in so can now move on with the VC....
Bloody ashcloud has completely screwed up deliveries...however things returning to normal now i think..got the retracts sorted for the VC so maybe next week i can a bit more done..

Progress has been a bit slow, ordered the fans today. Needed to get them so I can move on. Have couple more pics I'll upload tomorrow, getting past my bedtime now.

Well a little more progress today....
designed up teh bogies and the retract carriers.
Simple construction, laser cut parts and pivoted so that when its coming into land the rear set of wheels will sit low...should look great with teh flaps down!

Hi Mike
Looks the dogs b******ks. Sadly mine won't have retracts flying from a grass field. Hoping to have the fans next week and make some more headway. Couple more pics of the tail. Decided in the end to use a servo in each tailplane with a Y lead. Dremmel with the tile attachment is really useful for cutting out foam.

Made up the wing fixing and stiffening cage, this also allows me to fit servos to the centreblade for gear door opening...
